Medical center builds its own mobile technology platform for its physicians

Sometimes when you can’t find exactly what you want, you just have to make it yourself. Unimpressed with prefab mobile-information solutions in the marketplace, the IT team at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, N.J., created MicroHIS, an original computer application for Holy Name doctors that allows them instant access to their patients' entire EHRs via iPhone, Android, Blackberry and other mobile devices.
