New Federal CTO Position Filled

Aneesh Chopra, Virginia's secretary of technology, has been chosen as the federal government's first chief technology officer. Chopra has spent his career in state government promoting the use of IT to improve patient care, and as the government's technology chief, Chopra will work closely with Jeffrey Zients, selected as the government's first chief performance officer, and Vivek Kundra, who was nominated by President Obama earlier this year for the government's new chief information officer position.
