The American Health Information Management Association’s Board of Directors recently announced that Lynne Thomas Gordon, MBA, RHIA, FACHE, will take office as the new chief executive of the 61,000-member health information management (HIM) organization on Sept. 29, 2011.

Blue Cross pushes HHS to release all regulations by early 2012

Health plans don’t have the information they need to carry out some important health-reform changes – and they don’t have enough time to get the work done either, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association says. The problem, according to BCBSA, has to do with regulations that the Obama administration has been churning out detailing the specifics of the 2010 healthcare law.
