Nine finalists from a list of 45 healthcare-related semi-finalist companies have been selected for the upcoming 10th Annual Innovations in Healthcare Awards and Event Ceremony in late April of this year. The award ceremony known as the ABBYs, are hosted by the Adaptive Business Leaders (ABL) organization, which annually honors innovative companies across the nation who have proven ways to lower the cost of quality healthcare through innovative medical or information technology. Three finalists will be awarded the prizes in three categories, which include Innovative Approaches to the Delivery of Healthcare, Innovations in Healthcare IT and Telecommunications Technology, and Innovations in Medical/Bio-Technology.
The three award winners will be selected by secret ballot by the senior healthcare industry executives attending the event on April 23, 2008, at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel in Costa Mesa, California.
ABBY finalists include Alameda County Medical Center, Sutter Health Partners and WellPoint's Lumenos in the Innovative Approach to the Delivery of Healthcare category; Accuray Inc., Micro Imaging Technology and XDx Inc. in the Innovations in Medical/Bio-Technology Category; and, Healthline Networks Inc., iMDsoft Inc. and M*Modal in the Innovations In Healthcare IT & Telecom Technology category.
ABL's membership is made up of CEOs, presidents or division general managers with profit and loss responsibility representing billions in annual revenues for both healthcare and technology companies and organizations located throughout the country.
